Throughout his career Tomas Blodau has shown a strong interest in renewable energy, as demonstrated by an internship with Voith Hydro, pv project development, and then a clear focus on wind.
Mr. Blodau has a broad understanding of wind energy including yield and site assessment, power curve and sound, service and operation, project optimisation and problem-solving as well as a detailed understanding of wind turbine technology.
Tomas Blodau has worked for three years as an independent wind energy consultant, before that he spent 15 years at Senvion/REpower – 5 years as head of the international Wind and Site Department, and two years with a project developer (pv and wind).
He is active in committees such as the IEC 61400-15 (Site Assessment) Expert Committee, the IEC 61400-12-4 (Numerical Site Calibration) Expert Committee, the IEC 61400-28 (Through life management and life extension of wind power assets) Expert Committee and in the past has had extensive involvement with EWEA/Wind Europe in their technical events.
