Martin Krallmann joined NeXtWind in January 2024 as Senior Manager Wind Technology & Operations. In this role, he brings over two decades of experience from the wind industry across the entire value chain to the organization and thus plays a central role in providing technical expertise. Before joining NeXtWind, Mr. Krallmann worked as Head of Operations Wind for ENGIE Deutschland Erneuerbare GmbH, where he was responsible for technical operations management.
Prior to that, he held management positions at 8.2 Consulting AG, where he was also part of the management team. As technical manager and authorized signatory, Mr. Krallmann was responsible for the management of the accredited inspection body, the creation of technical standards for wind turbine inspections and technical customer consulting.
Prior to this, Mr. Krallmann worked as an expert in the 8.2 Group for around 14 years, during which time he inspected more than 1,200 wind turbines of various manufacturers and sizes at close range. Since 2012, Mr. Krallmann has also been a "publicly appointed and sworn expert for wind turbines" by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for East Frisia and Papenburg.
At the same time, Mr. Krallmann has been active in various working groups and advisory boards of the German Wind Energy Association (BWE) for around 15 years, where he has contributed to relevant industry standards such as the "Principles for periodic inspections of wind turbines" and has been a speaker at BWE seminars.
Mr. Krallmann studied at the University of Kassel and holds a degree in mechanical engineering.
