Lars Meyer is a co-founder of NeXtWind as well as Managing Partner of NeXtWind Management GmbH and Member of the Board of NeXtWind Capital Ltd.
Mr. Meyer has more than 20 years of experience in the energy sector in various roles ranging from private equity & credit investor and entrepreneur to project finance and M&A advisor.
He was the managing director and co-founder of Re-Wind, an investment and management company for wind energy projects based in Berlin. In addition, Mr. Meyer was one of the partners at Q-Energy, a leading investment company for renewable energies in the solar sector.
Previously, Lars Meyer was Managing Director at Centerbridge, a U.S. based investment firm where he led the investment strategy in the energy and illiquid asset area in the European Special Situations & Credit Team out of London. In this capacity, he led the firm’s investments in renewable energy projects including an aggregation platform for solar PV projects in Spain (Vela Energy), as well as the strategic partnership with Enel Green Power for wind investment opportunities across Europe.
Before joining Centerbridge, Mr. Meyer had been Managing Director at Strategic Value Partners, a distressed credit & private equity investor in Europe, since 2006. He started his professional career at Siemens AG in 1996, where he worked in various functions and on several continents in the areas of energy and infrastructure.
Mr. Meyer holds a Dual-Masters degree in Engineering and Business Administration from the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany.
